How much does a self wedding photoshoot in Okinawa cost?
The short answer: SELDING starts at 2,980 JPY (tax included) for the weekday-only 60-minute course. The standard price is 9,800 JPY, and the 2,980 JPY campaign runs until .
Your photo data costs nothing extra. With self-shooting, the images stay on your own phone or SD card, so you take them home the same day. There is no delivery fee and no waiting.
Costumes are included. Wedding dresses, tuxedos and Ryusou (traditional Okinawan dress) come with the course, along with tripods, lighting, bouquets, veils, accessories and shoes.
There is nobody in the studio. You enter with a door code at your reserved time and the whole place is yours.

How booking works. Book online through JTB BOKUN. The 120-minute and 3-hour courses linked above do not require an additional refundable security deposit. For other courses, check any deposit and payment terms on their booking pages. Start times are in Japan Standard Time (JST). Confirm the total and cancellation terms before paying.
The 2,980 JPY, 19,800 JPY and 30,000 JPY campaign rates require a short post-shoot questionnaire and at least three photos shared with us. Posting a Google review or tagging us on Instagram is entirely optional and never a condition.

Your booked time includes changing, shooting, travelling, tidying up and leaving. Please allow for that when choosing.
Why we recommend the 5-hour course
Once changing, touching up hair and make-up and walking to the beach are taken out, the time left for actually photographing is shorter than most people expect. The 5-hour Standard is the course where that stops being a problem.
Our guests tell us the same thing in their reviews: "I'd recommend the 5-hour course" and "the hour flew by — the 2-hour course would have been better". We hear that people ran out of time. We almost never hear that they had too much of it.
How it works on the day
- Book online, or message us on Instagram. Reservations open one year ahead through our booking system (JTB BOKUN). We do not take bookings by phone. You can book directly in English from the course table on this page. If you have a question first, send us an Instagram DM — we will reply with booking instructions in English.
- Complete the entry steps before arrival. Follow your booking email and the instructions from SELDING via official LINE or Instagram. If you are asked to complete a self check-in form, do so before your visit.
- Check your entry information. Make sure you have the entry instructions before travelling to the studio. If they are missing or unclear, contact your booking provider or SELDING through official Instagram before arrival.
- Let yourself in at your booked time. Not before — entry earlier than your start time is not possible. There is no one in the studio.
- Change and shoot. Costumes, tripods, lighting, props and shoes are all there.
- Tidy up and leave. Return everything, take your rubbish, lock the door and return the key to the box.
- Message us. Send a photo of the tidied studio and let us know you have left.
Guidance in English, Chinese and Korean is available on this site, and we answer questions by Instagram DM. Please note the studio itself is unstaffed — there is nobody on site to speak with.

Cancellations and date changes
More than one month before your date — free.
From one month to four days before — 50% of the booking fee.
Three to two days before — 70%.
The day before or on the day — 100%.
The charge is decided by when your message reaches us, not by when we reply. If our reply is slow, that never increases what you pay. Payment processing and refund fees are included within the cap and are not added on top.
Typhoons: if an emergency warning covering Onna Village is in force on your day, or a flight or train you had booked is cancelled due to weather and you cannot reach us, the cancellation fee is waived and we refund without deducting fees.
Changing the date: one change is free, to an available slot within six months of your original date. Please contact us by noon the day before and tell us your preferred new date at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
- Can we shoot on the beach?
- Yes, on courses of 120 minutes or longer. The weekday 60-minute course is studio only. Swimming or getting into the sea is not permitted on any course.
- Do we need to bring a camera?
- On the 60-minute and 120-minute courses you shoot with your own smartphone or camera. The 3-hour and 5-hour courses include a DSLR, already set up. A DSLR can also be rented on its own for 9,800 JPY. The drone is 9,800 JPY when booked in advance, or 12,000 JPY if you add it on the day.
- When do we get the photos?
- With self-shooting, the images are already on your phone or SD card, so you take them home the same day. There is no delivery fee and nothing to wait for.
- How many outfits can we wear?
- On the weekday 60-minute course, one dress and one tuxedo chosen in advance, with no fitting on the day. On the 120-minute course, one outfit each, and you may try on one outfit on the day. On courses of 3 hours or longer you may try outfits on the day and use up to three each.
- Is anyone at the studio?
- No. SELDING is completely unstaffed. You let yourselves in with a door code and have the studio to yourselves. You can reach us any time by Instagram DM, and we reply in English.
- What happens if it rains?
- You can still shoot indoors. If you would rather move your date, one change is free within six months of your original date — please contact us by noon the day before.
